Candidate Members are institutions in the United States or Canada that are actively pursuing accreditation by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) in the US or the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) for a professional degree program in architecture but do not yet have such accreditation. - Subscription to the Journal of Architectural Education (JAE), and Technology | Architecture + Design (TAD). The journals are mailed to the member school’s designated Faculty Councilor. Each member school receives a bundle of journals equal to 60% of their full time equivalent faculty (FTE). The journals are mailed to the member school’s designated Faculty Councilor.
- Full Listing on the Study Architecture Website: Each full member school receives a detailed profile on the Study Architecture website showcasing their academic programs. Prospective undergraduate and graduate students use the site to explore and compare architecture programs.
-  Discounted rates for job advertisements. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» member schools can post job openings on Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Careers, ensuring their positions are seen by a highly qualified pool of candidates.
- Engage in Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Research Initiatives. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» collects and publishes data on architectural education to inform and support the academic community. Accredited member schools can actively participate in these research efforts and gain access to comprehensive reports tailored to their needs.
- Eligibility to submit to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» News. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» faculty are encouraged to submit announcements for inclusion on our Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» News page. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» regularly promotes school news in its weekly update email.
- Eligibility to serve on committees and task forces. All faculty at member schools can serve on Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» committees and task forces.

For Your Faculty
- Full-text electronic access to JAE and TAD for all member school faculty. Members must annually subscribe to access this feature. This access comes by logging in to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» website.
- Access to an online database of past Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» conference proceedings dating back to 1995. Search and download digital versions of papers presented at our past conferences.
- Discounts on registrations to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» conferences. Non-members pay a significantly higher rate to attend conferences. All faculty are eligible to use this benefit. Logging into the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» website when registering will unlock these discounts.
- Eligibility to participate in Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»-sponsored student design competitions. Only member schools are eligible to participate in Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»-sponsored design competitions, which are offered at no additional cost.
- Eligibility to submit conference papers for review, presentation, and publication. All faculty at member schools can submit to open paper or project calls.
- ProPEL Digital Library Access. Free access to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»’s Professional Practice online Digital Library. ProPEL is a growing library of educational video resources covering foundational and emerging topics in architecture. Developed in partnership between Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» and NCARB, the goal of ProPEL is to expand your teaching resources to help you better equip your students for the future of architectural practice.
- Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Update Email. All faculty at member schools receive the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Friday Update emails.
For Your Students

- Eligible to submit papers for review, presentation, and publication at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» conferences. Students at member schools can submit to paper or project calls.
- Opportunity to be published on IMADETHAT’s instagram page which reaches over 100,000 people per week across the globe. Please encourage your students to post on Instagram and tag#imadethat with their work to be published.
